Skills to Share – Free Community Workshops
As the founder of Sacred Shine and a lifelong learner, I’m committed to nurturing deeper connections between people, land, and community. My path is rooted in earth-conscious living and traditional skills, and I believe in sharing knowledge freely, without expectation or transaction.
I am a Leopold Land Ethic educator, Leave No Trace Level Two Instructor, Wilderness First Responder and Traditional Tools Instructor.
I offer free workshops and informal talks to empower others with practical tools and understanding. Topics I’m passionate about include:
The Ten Essentials for safe hiking
Leave No Trace ethics
Clearing land with traditional hand tools, crosscut saw and axe.
Trail maintenance and stewardship
Public land education I teach this topic using a curriculum published by The Wilderness Society
An introduction to Wilderness legislation and land protection efforts
Leopold Land Ethic I teach this topic using a curriculum published by the Aldo Leopold Foundation and lead guided discussions on A Sand County Almanac
These offerings reflect my commitment to a culture of care, reciprocity, and shared learning. If you’re curious, passionate, or just getting started, you’re invited to join the conversation and the journey.
Book me now for your local civic group, school, scouting organization, or community club — I’d be honored to contribute to your next gathering.
